Jill Edwards’ weekend comedy course is an inspirational taste of learning how to create, write and perform your own stand-up comedy. It’s a great way to boost confidence, improve current skills, learn new ones or just try something different in a safe environment and have a fun go at stand-up. The end result is a short stand-up set, which you can choose to perform to your family and friends in our intimate Arts Cafe.
Jill’s stand-up comedy courses are the most established in the country – graduates include Jimmy Carr, Shappi Khorsandi, Seann Walsh, Angela Barnes and Romesh Ranganathan. Jill is a regular judge for Bath Comedy Festival’s “New Act Competition” Final and runs comedy club “Comic Boom” at Komedia Brighton.
Jill believes if you’ve ever laughed you already have the skills you need to make others’ laugh. All you need are her unique writing and performance techniques to access your latent skills and discover your “inner comic.” The skills you’ll acquire also apply to other areas of your life, writing, performing, presentations and public speaking. It’s a relaxed and friendly practical experience – and it’s always a lot of fun!
